5, 2017. Alice was born June 16, 1919, in Ironton, Wisconsin, the daughter of William and Minna Schultz Som- mers. Alice was baptized into the Christian faith Aug. 3, 1919, attended St. Peter Lutheran School in Reeds- burg through eighth grade, and grad- uated from Reedsburg High School in 1937.

On June 22, 1946, Alice married Laurel (Bud) Kramer in Reedsburg. The couple resided on different posts throughout military career, the last one being Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Upon his retirement from the U.S. Army in 1963 they moved to Waupun to be closer to family in Wisconsin. Alice was a devoted army wife and loving mother.

She was an Avon lady for 25 years in the Waupun area. Alice was a member of Pella Lutheran Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and cradle roll secretary. She always en- joyed the fellowship of other ladies by going to club to fold bulletins. Alice is survived by two daughters Karol (Arlyn) Harm- sen of Waupun, and Lora Krueger of Waupun; five grand- sons Joel (Jennifer) Harmsen of Oakfield, Jason (Crystal) Harmsen of Fox Lake, Chad (Jennifer) Harmsen of Bran- don, Kurt (Tammy) Krueger of West Chicago, Illinois, and Jeff (Stephanie) Krueger of Oshkosh; 12 great-grandchil- dren Calvin, Carter, Kenna, Austin, Evan, Alexus, Aidan and Axel Harmsen, and Trenton, Helayna, Logan and Lauren Krueger; a sister, Mabel Hummel of Middleton; two brothers William Sommers of Pardeeville and Orvan Sommers of West Bend; and a brother-in-law Denman Kramer of Prairie du Sac. Alice was preceded in death by her husband Laurel, in March 2016; a son-in-law Randy Krueger; two sisters Viola Koch and Carolyn Zehnpfennig; four brothers-in- law; and three sisters-in-law.

A funeral service will be held Friday, Feb. 10, at 10:30 a.m. at Pella Lutheran Church in Waupun with the Rev. David Knuth officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun.

Friends and relatives may call on the family at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. and at the church Fri- day from 9:30 a.m. to the time of the service. The family thanks the Christian Homestead where she resided since January 2013 and Agnesian Hospice Hope for the special care given to Alice. Allen Kramp officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the St. John Cemetery, Mayville.

Laura was born May 14, 1908, to Robert and Martha (Seering) Boeck. She grew up on Highway 33 next to the one-room school she attended. Laura then moved to West Allis where she worked and retired after 18 years at Allis Chalmers. Laura was active at St. Paul Church in West Allis.

She will be remembered for her baking, pride in sewing quilts and so many Raggedy Ann dolls. She also liked to travel and spend time with family. She enjoyed summer trips to the lake with her sisters and best friend Lucille Jacobson, whom she resided with for most of her life. She is survived by her sister, Alice Pieper of Mayville; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters and brothers Anita Figge, Leona Rosenow, Marvin Boeck, El- mer Boeck, Lorraine Starr and Betty Stippich.

Laura will always be remembered for her warm heart- edness, kind words and loving spirit. The family wants to express gratitude to her caregivers at Clearview who gave her such great care. Memorials may be directed to St. John Evangelical Lu- theran Church in Mayville. Koepsell Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Mayville is serving the family.

Online condolences may be made at koepsellfh.com. Leonard Herringa Leonard Herringa, 90, Waupun, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at his home. Leonard was born April 26, 1926, in Friesland, Wisconsin, the son of Samuel and Jenny Fisher Heeringa. In 1944 he married Nellie Dejager.

Nellie passed away in 1955. On June 21, 1956, Leonard married Phyllis Abel Westra in Weyauwega. The couple resided in Waupun most of their married lives. Leonard served in the U.S. Army in World War II from 1944 to 1946 in the Philippines, Okinawa, and during the Japan occupa- tion.

After returning to the states he served in the National Guard. Leonard was employed by the state of Wisconsin as a prison guard for 30 years. He was a member of Waupun United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and time with his family. Leonard is survived by three sons Leonard (Cynthia) Herringa of Maryland, Sam Herringa of Beaver Dam, and Dan (Jody) Herringa of Waupun; three daughters, Debra (Eugene) Uttech of Rhinelander, Mary Lackey of Wau- pun, and Sherry Harteau of Waupun; 22 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a very special friend Gloria Martin.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Phyllis, in 1992; three sons, Edward, Phillip and Terry; a son-in-law Raymond Lackey; a daughter-in-law Mary Herringa; an infant son; a brother; and three sisters. A funeral service will be held Thursday, Feb. 9, at noon at Waupun United Methodist Church in Waupun with the Rev. Paul Yoder officiating. Friends and relatives may call on the family Thursday at the church from 10:30 a.m.

Yasger, 89, Beaver Dam, died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at Beaver Dam Community Hospital. Visitation will be at Koepsell-Mur- ray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam Fri- day, Feb. 10, from 10 to 10:50 a.m. A funeral service will follow at the fu- neral home Friday beginning at 11 a.m.

with Deacon Ed Cody officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Beryl Patricia was born Jan. 7, 1928, in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, to Cochrane and Claira (Lovey) Shankland.

After high school, she went on to earn her degree in home economics and worked as a dietician. On Sept. 24, 1960, Beryl was united in marriage with Robert S. Yasger in Cudahy, Wisconsin. In the past, she enjoyed painting with both watercolors and oils, putting together puzzles and gardening.

Beryl was a sports fan and enjoyed watching the Packers and the Bad- gers. Family was very important to her and she treasured the times together, especially with her grandson. Survivors include her husband, Robert Yasger of Bea- ver Dam; two children Trish Yasger of Sedalia, Missouri, and Jim (Tracey) Yasger of Beaver Dam; a grandson Andy Yasger of Beaver Dam; other relatives and friends. Beryl was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson Matthew James Yasger; and a sister Margaret Ann Sylte. To leave online condolences, or for direc- tions and other information, visit KoepsellFH.com. Paul Weber Paul R. Weber, 85, Beaver Dam, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, at the Landmark at Charleston House in Beaver Dam. Paul was born March 3, 1931, in Bea- ver Dam, the son of John N.

and Agnes (Thiede) Weber. Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in the 5th Regimented Combat Team during the Korean War. On Jan. 28, 1961, he was united in marriage to Myrtle Pritchard in Beaver Dam.

He worked at Fliteway in Horicon as a shipping clerk for many years. Paul was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam, as well as John E. Miller American Legion Post 146 and Clar- ence Keske VFW Post 1163. He loved fishing, hunting and watching the Brewers, Badgers and Packers.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Paul is survived by his son John Weber of Juneau; daugh- ter Shelby (Scott) Weber-Dutzle of Mayville; grandchil- dren Katelyn (Kyle) Broome of Beaver Dam, and Cody (Ja- mie) Weber of Beaver Dam; great-granddaughter Adaleigh Broome; siblings John Weber, James Weber, Ted Weber, Barbara Schwarze, Mary Lou Oechsner and Agnes Fred- rickson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his son Pete Weber; his brother Al Weber; his sister Elaine Schultz; brother-in-law Don Schwarze; and sisters-in- law Betty and Ruth Weber. A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, Feb. 12, at Cornerstone Funeral Cremation Services, 135 Keller Beaver Dam, from noon to the time of the memorial service at 2 p.m.

Send private online con- dolences or sign the guest book at cstonefs.com. LeRoy Fields LeRoy Fields, 90, Randolph, passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, at Golden Living-Continental Manor of Randolph. LeRoy was born Aug. 29, 1926, in Conover, Wisconsin, a son of Albert and Florence (Johnson) Fields.

He was united in marriage to Laura Fields Jan. 25, 1964, in Ran- dolph. LeRoy was on the Randolph Fire Department for 16 years and worked for Seed Company for more than 50 years. He was a member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church. LeRoy is survived by one sister Charlotte Federspiel of Eagle River; four stepchildren Jerome (Katherine) Moritz, Helen (Edward) Fredrick, Michael Washtock and John Washtock; 13 step grandchildren; brother-in-law Elmer (Irene) Moritz; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Laura, in 2004; two sisters Lorraine Carie and Edith Buckley; two brothers- in-law Franklin and Ferdinand Moritz. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, 327 Jones Drive, Randolph. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.

Phyllis Schulz Phyllis Elaine Schulz, 85, Waupun, passed away Satur- day, Jan. 21, 2017, at the Christian Home in Waupun. Phyllis was born Nov. 17, 1931, in Berlin, Wisconsin, the daughter of Lathrop and Beatrice (Barnes) Covey. She mar- ried Wally Tessmann and helped out on the farm.

Phyllis had a love for music. She sang with many area bands in- cluding Pep Babler (Oshkosh), Cousin Fuzzy (Green Bay) and Al Buerger and the Pros (Fond du Lac). She enjoyed sewing and made many wedding dresses. Family was a big part of her life. She took great joy in raising her children.

On Nov. 17, 2005, she married Ronald Schulz in Markesan. Phyllis is survived by two daugthers Lynn (Richard) Boening of Wautoma, and Diana Baniel of Oshkosh; a son Lathrop (Rose) Baniel of Berlin; two stepdaugh- ters Nancy (Peter) Turck of Beaver Dam, and Sharon (Vick) Zander of Randolph; a stepson Melvin (Prangtip) Schulz of Las Vegas, Nevada; two adopted daughters Mona (Ste- phen) Williams of Minnesota, and Mary Lee (Scott) Nelson of Minnesota; a son-in-law James Froehlich; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wally Tess- mann in 1999 and Ronald Schulz in 2015; a daughter, Debra Froehlich in 2014; and two brothers, Richard and Arthur Covey. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Christian Home, 331 Bly Waupun. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Christian Home with Chaplain Dennis Overlein officiating. Burial will take place at Randolph Cemetery at a later date.
