Both dancers are members of the Mad City Dancers, a dance company located in Madison. Members of the company must audition and be selected from the Monona Academy of Dance, a Madison based dance school which features dancers from throughout South Central Wisconsin. The director and choreographer, Jo Jcan Retrum, produces shows such as The Nutcracker, La Fille Mal Gardee, and The Peter Rabbit Ballet. The Mad City Dancers were invited to perform a show at EuroDisney, Paris, France and the Arche de La Defense, or 3rd Arce de Triomphe in Paris. In addition 1 to visiting a local dance school, the dance company visited the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Notre Dame Cathedral, Montmartre, Sacre Coeur, and took a boat trip on the Seine.

They also went to a ballet at the Paris Opera Ballet, and saw a dance at the newly opened American Center in Paris. The group made two excursions into the country side surrounding Paris.
