misdemeanor sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old girl between November 1999 and April 2000 The charges were filed after an eight-month investigation by Special Agent Amy Blackwood of the state Division of Criminal Investigations Because of his resignation Jorgensen who has been on administrative leave pending the investigation will not have to repay that salary He also retains his Wisconsin police investigation James Korom also did not return a call Thursday Jorgensen is scheduled to make his initial appearance before Court Commissioner Leo Grill on March 14 He will be formally told the charges and possible penalties at that time and will also have a cash or signature bond set If Jorgensen is convicted of one or more of the misdemeanor charges each count carries a maximum penalty of nine months in the county jail and a $10000 fine comment on his resignation or the hiring of another officer Former Baraboo Police Chief Thomas Lobe who retired last month declined to comment on the
