testified Wednesday as to explicit sexual comments allegedly made by a former police officer as his trial on charges having sex with an underage girl passed its second day in court Former Baraboo Police Department Officer Eric for which he is charged occurred while the teen participated in a police ride-along experience for a Baraboo High School class according to the testimony of the now 18-year-old alleged victim One witness was Baraboo Police Department Officer Jennifer Langfeldt-Rupert who said she worked on the same shift as Jorgensen for a time She acknowledged that at times they talked about sexual matters such as who they each found attractive The officer testified that Jorgensen made extremely explicit sexual comments about the teen These including comments on specific The parent said he became suspicious that his daughter might be sexually involved with the officer after finding a folder and piece of notebook paper in her room one day in June 2000 The notebook paper contained a variety of fantasy license plate numbers such as ERJ234 ERJ are initials and 234 is his badge number he said The stepfather said he spoke to his daughter Jorgensen and other Baraboo police officers At first all of them denied an illicit relationship was going on Jorgensen went so far as to express concern the daughter might be stalking him GOING ON somes me (the alleged victim) and she told the court Bloom was also one of several witnesses who said the attention of the teen and other police hangers-on was not dis- couraged by Jorgensen or other officers Another friend Erica Linkowski 18 of Baraboo described a similar incident when she and the alleged victim met Jorgensen as he was parked in the lot of Action Electric on Eighth Avenue She said he asked similar questions about whether the girls were virgins and suggested sexual activity among the three of them None of the witnesses testified that they had any sexual activity with Jorgensen Under questioning from his defense attorney Stephen Hurley of Madison they said they never witnessed any sexual activity between the officer and the then 16-year-old A theme in defense effort is to argue that the alleged victim Jorgensen after they both met him at the Sauk County Hair in July 1999 Bloom said her friend drove around Baraboo hoping to meet him in parking lots where he sat doing his reports On an unspecified date one dark evening they found him parked in the Circus World Museum parking lot The alleged victim parked her side window to match side she recalled Then he began talking about sexual matters such
